Iowa sports betting will have a new operator to consider, just in time for Super Bowl Sunday.
New York-based Fanatics Betting and Gaming announced Tuesday it is now live in Iowa, the 12th state in which it is operational.
Back in August 2023, Fanatics Betting and Gaming began acquiring the U.S. businesses of PointsBet and planning the migration of PointsBet customers to the Fanatics Sportsbook app. How Fanatics joins the ranks for Iowa sports betting apps.
Each PointsBet customer’s username, password, account balance, rewards points and responsible gaming settings will be migrated automatically to the new Fanatics Sportsbook Iowa.
Also, the retail sportsbook at Catfish Bend Casino in Burlington will begin the process of undergoing a name and management change from PointsBet to Fanatics Sportsbook Iowa. Over the coming weeks, Fanatics Betting and Gaming will install new self-service betting kiosks from Illinois-based Suzohapp. The new-look Fanatics Sportsbook at Catfish Bend Casino will have an upscale lounge ,a multi-screen video and odds display wall, a sports bar and slot machines.
The Fanatics Sportsbook is available online in Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia. They also have 14 retail locations, including sportsbooks outside Progressive Field in Cleveland and Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at FedExField in Landover, Md.. The Fanatics Casino is currently available in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
